The staff and board of directors of Illinois Family Action are pleased to announce a Candidate Forum on Thursday, February 17th in Arlington Heights. This forum will be for Republican candidates seeking the party’s nomination for U.S. Senate and the office of Governor of the State of Illinois. A panel of four Illinois pastors will be pitching the questions to the candidates.
The candidates for U.S. Senate will begin the forum at 7 PM. They will be followed by the candidates for governor at 8 PM.
So far, we have been given commitments from:
Tim Arview, Allison Salinas, Jimmy Lee Tillman II and Bobby Piton for U.S. Senate. Gary Rabine, Max Solomon and Paul Shimpf are also committed, with Darren Bailey giving us a tentative commitment because of long session days in Springfield.

The purpose of the IFA Candidate Forum is to give the voters of Illinois an opportunity to hear directly from candidates without the interference, bias, and selective editing of the establishment media. In short, we hope to foster discussions on the issues of importance to the candidates and to the voters in this election. The event is open to the public and will be video recorded for publication. The candidates will answer questions from a panel of local pastors as well as select questions submitted in advance from the public. Written questions are being accepted by email at email@example.com.
Candidates will be given a display table to exhibit their petitions, campaign brochures, bumper stickers, and yard signs.
